Savory Ground Beef Stuffed Celery Stalks Recipe

  • Author: Daphne
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Crunchy celery paired with savory seasoned ground beef makes for a quick, easy, and healthy snack or appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh celery stalks (large, firm, vibrant green)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the celery stalks thoroughly and pat them dry. Cut them into 4-5-inch pieces and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Mix in 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
  5. Using a small spoon, fill each celery piece with the ground beef mixture, pressing down gently to ensure the filling stays in place.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the stuffed celery pieces. If you prefer melted cheese, place the stuffed celery on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for a burst of color and flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Don’t overfill the celery stalks to prevent the filling from falling out.’, ‘Use fresh, crisp celery for the best texture.’, ‘Prepare the filling ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Stuff the celery just before serving for maximum crunch.’, ‘You can add chili powder or cayenne pepper for a spicy twist.’]
